Jun. 06, 1980 - 70th Birthday of Jacques Cousteau: The secrets of the sea he brought during several years the TV-watchers and of course he will go further on sea-trips and please his friends with incomparable underwater pictures: Jacques Yves Cousteau who will become 70 years old on 11 June 1980. With his well known ship Calypso he started for adventurous exploring expeditions and won many awards for his documentary films (eg the Pierre de Coubertin-Prize in 1976). Besides this, he is a highly appreciated scientist and inventor of various submarines, submarine-houses etc. Since 1957 Cousteau is the head of the oceanographical museum of Monaco
