Jul. 07, 1974 - Cyprus Peace Deal Agreed - Callaghan Ends The Six-Day Stalemate in Geneva - Britain, Greece and Turkey last night signed an agreement intended to prevent further fighting in Cyprus and give the island a new constitution.
