Aug. 08, 1960 - COMPOSER AND STAR OF ONCE UPON A MATTRESS HOLD PRESS CONFERENCE IN LONDON: Mary Rodgers, who has composed the music for the new American musical Once Upon a Mattress, which opens at the Adelphi Theatre, London, on September 20th, and Jane Connell, who will star in the musical in the role of Princess Winifred, gave a Press Conference in London this morning. Mary Rodgers, daughter of Richard Rodgers of Rodgers and Hammerstein, has written songs for many leading American singers, but Once Upon a Mattress is her first full scale musical.
