Jun. 30, 1968 - The Ideal Girl Of 1968 Contest At Battersea Festival Gardens: The Carnival Associations Guild in conjunction with the management of Festival GArdens, Battersea Park, today staged a contest to find the Ideal Girl Of 1968'. In order to limit the entry the contestants were restricted to Carnival Queens from London and the Home Counties who are members of the Guild. The contest was designed to highlight the feminine virtues of contestants-and not a beauty contest. Photo shows.
