Mar. 15, 1968 - Theft Motive For Murders At Flat: The motive for the murders of a wealthy stockbroker and a blonde model was undoubtedly robbery, Det. Chief Supt. John Bailey said last night. Jewellery believed to be worth several thousand pounds is missing from the expensive flat where their bodies were found. The dead woman was identified yesterday as Miss Janet Alice Williams, 25, whose home is in Herefordshire. She had been living with the stockbroker, Mr. Michael St. John O'Carroll, 53, at the flat in Famouth House, Bayswater. The couple, found on Wednesday evening by a porter at the flats, had both been strangled with ligatures.
