Twenty two out of the thousands of United Nations soldiers who had been subjected to constant Red propaganda, was a small number, but the decisions made by these men shock the Western world. They were given every chance to chance their minds, but all Western argument failed and they disappeared vlluntarily behind Bombo Curtain. Hoe the first pictures of these men taken since their arrival in the country of their choice have reached the West. They were taken in Poking, where, it is said, they are going on sight seeing tours, playing games, shopping with money provided by the authorities and relaxing in their quarters, while they study the situation in China before deciding upon their future careers. They have been provided with several made-the -measure suits each, American neckties and although many of their meals are Western type, they are being encouraged to eat Chinese food, although none of them has yet mastered the use of Chopsticks. Escorted through the streets of Peking, the departmental stores and the public parks like hocured guests, their appearance new stares from the Chinese, for the sight of a Western man in the streets of Peking those days, is rare indeed. A tour of the grounds of the Summer Palace at Peking was one of the things laid on for the ex-P.O.W's
