Submarine on Loan from United States:The submarine Kuroshio (Black Current) loaned by the United States to the Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force - on its arrival in Yokosuka - from the United States. Mnned by a crew of 86, the 1, 600 ton addition to Japan's incident 93, 000 ton navy - it is the first undersea craft loaned under the U.S. Japan warship lease agreement. Note the Rising Sun flags hoisted on the stem and stern of the vessel
