Oct. 10, 1958 - Tokyo speed cops now photographs traffic violating vehicles.: tokyo's traffic cops are having automatic cameras fitted to the front of their motor cycles to record on film the vehicles and their number plates of law breaks. The cameras made by Walttz in Tokyo have a F. 3.5 wide-angle lens, and the 35 m. m film is transported by a small motor ready for the next take. there is no focousing as everything is sharp after 10 feet, and the shutter is released by a button on the handlebars of the motor-cycle. Flash is fitted for nightwork, and the date, time and speed is recorded on the edge of the film.
