Dec. 09 HIDEAWAY JAPANESE SOLDIER COMES BACK HOME AFTER 28 YEARS IN JUNGLE - Shoichi Yokoi, the 56-year-old former sergeant of the defunct Imperial Japanese Army returned to his homeland 10 days after he had emerged from 28 years of hiding in the jungles of Guam and 31 years after he left Japan to do his military service. Photo: Weakened by his life in the jungle, Yokoi is helped to stand by a nurse as he waves to cheers from the crowd at Tokyo airport on his arrival from Guam. On the right is Japanese Health and Welfare Minister Noboru Saito (glasses) who was there to welcome him back to Japan
