Apr. 18 All roads lead to Tokyo Olympics: The vast network of radial highways which are being built through the heart of teeming Tokyo for the forthcoming Olympic Games in October, are nearing completion. The four lane, 13 meters wide elevated and subterranean expressways all converge on the main stadiums of the Olympic complex. Traffic will be able to avoid jams on the present city roads to reach the games is the hope of the road planners. Billions of yen have been spent on the huge undertaking, and property owners have held out for high compensation when their houses and business premises have stood in the path of the project and had to be torn down. Photo Shows Overhead sections of the road to the Olympic's in Tokyo in the Akasak Mitsuke ward of Tokyo, not far from the main Olympic Statium
