1963 - Japanese religious leaders meet the Archbishop of Canterbury: A group of Japanese religious leaders who are now in England, called at Lambeth Palace today where they were received by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr. Ramsay. The Japanese have come to this country to express thanks for the signing of the partial nuclear test ban treaty, and to appeal for the total prohibition of nuclear tests. Photo shows the Archbishop welcomes the Rev. Rosen Takashina (left) and the Rev. Gyoin Hashimoto (Right)
