Jul. 07, 1967 - Two Asian leaders - Prime Minister Dudley Senanay of Ceylon and Prime Minister Eisaku Sato of Japan met June 29 at the latter's official residence in Tokyo and discussed current world politics, notably the Middle East crisis and Vietnam. Senanayake also urged Sato to give serious thought to his proposal for the establishment of an Asian Common Market on the lines of the European Common Market. Mr. Senanayake (right) listens attentively as Mr. Sato clarifies his point of argument during the three hour Tokyo talks. Mr. Senanayake was on his way home through the Far East after an official visit to Canada where he held similar talks with Canadian Prime Minister Lester Pearson at Parliament House, Ottawa
