Mar. 03, 1970 - Opening Of Expo 70: Emperor Hirohito of Japan opened the Japan World Exposition 1970, in Osaka, on Saturday (March 14) with words of appreciation for the participation of many countries of the world, and expressions of hope for its success, as he spoke at the spacious Festival Plaza, in the centre of the sprawling EXPO grounds.
