1982 - The Japanese Defense Force has one Airborne brigade, the first airborne brigade stationed at the camp Narashino near Narita Airport North of Tokyo. This is where the brigade has its airborne training school. Most of the cadets are just out of high school and the course is given through (out the year. The course takes five weeks and in the fifth week cadets complete five parachute jumps to earn their wings. the Japanese airbourn infantry jumps for a Japanese jet plane called A C-1 Ghugata Yusoki (medium range transport).
