Oct. 10, 1975 - John Campbell, The Hunger Striker, Meets The Liberal Leader Mr. Jeremy Thorpe: Mr. John Campbell, Liberal candidate for Wigan in 1974 is continuing his hunger strike which he started last Monday. Although Liberal MPs have done their best to dissuade him, he said that he intended to carry on with his fast until genuine concessions are offered by the Government to the Liberal demand for some form of proportional representation. He declared his intention to carry on even if it results in force feeding. Photo shows John Campbell chatting with Liberal Party Leader Jeremy Thorpe outside the House of Commons this afternoon
