Jeremy Thorpe and Marion Harewood to marry

Feb. 02, 1973 - Jeremy Thorpe to marry Marion, former Countess of Harewood: Mr. Jeremy Thorpe, 43, Leader of the Liberal Party announced last night in his constituency town of Barnstaple, North Devon, that Marion and I are happy to announce that we will be married quietly in the spring'. Mr. Thorpe's first wife was killed in a car crash in June 1970. Lady Harewood, who is 46, was Marion Stein, a leading concert pianist when she married Lord Harewood in 1949.
