Mar. 19, 1971 - Israeli Government gives agreement for Jesco von Puttkamer: With the agreement of the Israeli government the nomination of the new ambassador from Bonn to Tel Aviv, Jesco von Puttkamer, has been realised. The former chief editor of the social democratic weekly paper Vorwarts takes the place of ambassador Karel Hermann Knoke who will move to Brazil in April as new ambassador. This place has been vacant since the former chief of protocol of the Foreign Ministry, ambassador Ehrenfried von Holleben, became ambassador to Lisbon after having been kidnapped and after having left Rio de Janeiro.
