Jewels - Minerals - Mining - Rocks

1965 - Confrontations continues: The crippling threat to Britains power supplies posed by the industrial dispute between and coal miners and the Government continues, with most of the country working, a three day week. The overtime ban imposed by miners unions is having a disastrous effect and has pushed the unemployment figures sky high. Photo shows were taken at the Ynsybwl Lady Windsor colliery in South Wales, recently. A miner tests his lamp before starting his shift at the Lady Windsor colliery, Wales.
