Feb. 02, 1969 - Find a coins may be worth more than £10, 000.: A large lead bucket containing about 10, 000 silver coins, minted in the reign of Henry III over 700 years ago, was unearthed in Colehester yesterday, by two builder's labourers, Mr. George Purvis and Mr. Ron Munson, whilst working on a site in Culver Street, Colehester. The board, which may be worth more than £10, 000 was deposited at Colchester Police station and an inquest is to be held to establish whether it is treasure trove.
