Jan. 01, 1977 - Voting Starts Today On The Miners Early Retirement Proposals: The Kent miners were the first to vote today, over the new early retirement proposals, the rest voting tomorrow around England and Wales. General opinion at the Betteshanger Collery is that their vote will be a sizable majority against the proposals.
