: Jo Anne Lee dressed for Queen Elizabeth I role

Jo Anne Lee dressed for Queen Elizabeth I role

Feb. 28 When she is in - she can't get out, The lady with the wide Elizabethan Gown; Pretty 22 year old Joanne Lee of Durham - who plays the role of Queen Elizabeth I - in the Wembley Pool Sleeping Beauty Pantomime has to get to the stadium earlier than her colleague for it makes such a long time to get into her glorious 25 yard gold satin gown - which is complete with a huge ruff and a wired underskirt. The gown is a copy of the one worn by the Queen in the famous Armade painting. The weight of the dress makes it difficult for Anne to keep her balance on the ice. Her biggest difficulty she says is getting out of the dressing room once she has the dress on owing to the great width of her gown. Having got into the dress, Joanne Lee is now faced with the problem of getting out of her dressing room. This door was definitely not made with Elizabethan dresses in mind
