1972 - Japanese singer plays the main part in the Olympic opera Rashomon': Joachim Ludwig, the German composer of the Olympic opera Rashomon greeted the famous Japanese opera singer Atsuka Azoma at Munich central station. In a few days the world premiere of the opera Rashomon will be performed at the Augsburg town theatre on 22nd August 1972. Azoma plays the leading role in Joachim Ludwig's modern opera, though brought up to date, the story of the opera dates back to the 12 - 14 century in Japan
