Oct. 10, 1966 - Shooting scenes for Circus of Blood': Academy Award winning star Joan Crawford, and Hollywood actor TY Hardin (famed for his TV Bronco series), started work today in the film Circus of Blood, the thriller being made by Herman Cohen for Columbia. Their first scenes for this gutsy drama, set under the Big Top, were shot on location at Blackheath in South-east London. They showed Miss Crawford and Ty Hardin in a circus animal tent. The big-top backgrounds for the picture are being provided by Billy Smart's world famed circus. Circus of Blood is produced by Herbert Cohen and directed by Jim O'Connely, from an original story and screenplay by Aben Kandel and Herman Cohen. Joan Crawford plays the woman proprietor of a circus which is plagued by a mysterious series of murders. Photo shows when Joan Crawford met Burma one of the circus elephants appearing in the film with her, at Blackheath today, she was a little apprehensive but after feeding the elephant with a crust of bread she and Burma were soon friends
