Aug. 20, 1973 - Some of Britain's Leading sportsmen on Superstars event at Crystal Palace.: Some of Britian's leading sportsmen are taking part in Superstars - an event produced by Trans World International in association with BBC TV. The Superstars compete in a decathlon-type sporting contest over two days. There are ten events and each competitors has to compete in eight - but not in his own sport. the 10 events are: 100m. sprint; 600m. steeplechase; 50m. swim; 800m. cycle race; soccer penalties; golf; shooting;lawn tennis; weight-lifting; gymnasium tests of power and agility. Competitors who accepted invitations are: jackie Stewart, Tony Jacklin, Joe Bugner, David Hemery, Barry John, Roger Taylor.
