John Curry wins European figure skating title in Geneva

Jan. 16, 1976 - John Curry wins the men's European figure skating title in Geneva; John Curry, 26 of Richmond Ice Rink, became the first Briton for 37 years to win the men's European figure skating title in Geneva last night. He defeated the Russian title holder Vladimir Kavaley who finished 2nd, and third was Jan Hoffman of East Germany.
