Oct. 10, 1972 - The Unusual Rolls Royce - Powered By The Spitfire Aero Engine: John Dodd, of Epsom, Surrey, who has an automatic gearbox repair business, has the world's most unusual Rolls Royce. It is powered with a 27-litre 700 brake horse power, six carburettor V12 Merlin aero engine, which powered the famous Spitfire plane of World War 2.
