Aug. 08, 1955 - British Diplomat appointed to Washington: Mr. John E. Coulson is expected to take up his appointment as Minister at the British Embassy, Washington, in the fall. 45 years- 0f- age, he is a career diplomat and father of two boys. A Cambridge graduate, he has, since joining Britain's foreign Service in 1932, seen service in the United States ( as deputy leader of the British delegation to the United Nations, New York), France and Romania. He was an adviser to the foreign secretary at a wartime Moscow conference and member of the British delegation to the Potsdam conference. Photo shows mr. and Mrs. John E.
