Feb. 26 An American Film is Being Shot in Hungary. The location work on the first major American film to be shot in Hungary, the Metro Goldwyn Mayer company's The Fixer has started in Budapest on October 9th, Top American film maker John Frankenheimer, and producer Edward Lewis direct the work of the American British French Hungarian cast and crew. The cast is headed by British stars Carol White and Alan Bates, American stars Elizabeth Hartman and Jack Gilford. Other star names are the English actor Dirk Bogarde, the Royal Shakespeare Company's David Warner and Ian Holm, the American David Opatashu, and the Canadian Bill Hutt. The Fixer is the story of an innocent, a type of everyman who has been the victim of prejudice. The story of the film takes place in Kiev, Russia, in 1911.
