John Glenn, American astronaut, on visit to Munich

Sep. 29, 1965 - Astronaut landed in Munich: America's first spaceman, John H. Glenn, who flew round the earth on February 20th three times, arrived on September 29th at Munich Airport. The Bavarian metropole is the first station of his goodwill tour through Europe. John Glenn will stay in Munich for three days and visit the First International World Exhibition of Transport and Communications, the Oktoberfest and an opera. Photo shows John Glenn at the Munich Oktoberfest the largest national festival of the world
