Jun. 22, 1981 - Wimbledon, England, United Kingdom - JOHN MCENROE shouts at umpire EDWARD JAMES on No 1 court You cannot be serious when he beat his fellow American Tom Gullikson in straight sets. McEnroe the No. 2 seed was close to being thrown out of the championships during the match. He was given a public warning and suffered two penalty points for breaches of the tennis code of conduct. At one stage he snapped a racket under his foot and then kicked it across the court
