John Profumo, War Minister, playing piano, London

Oct. 10, 1962 - War Minister and the Mystery Piano: A battered grand piano attracted the attention of War Minister Mr. John Profumo when he walked into the sergeant's mass at the new Chelsea Barracks in London yesterday. He sat down and played the opening bars of the Moonlight Sonata. He was told that the sergeants had paid £3 10s. for it, but they wouldn't tell him where they had bought it. Mr. Profumo was inspecting improvements to the £2 million barracks which house 1, 100 troops and has blocks of flats for families. Photo shows Mr. Profumo at the sergeants piano
