May 05, 1965 - Pope Receives Jesuit Delegates: The 225 Jesuits from all the parts of the world who are gathered in Rome to elect a new Provost General, were given an audience with the Pope at the Vatican on Friday. The election of the 28th successor of St. Ignatius Loyola, who founded the Order in 1540, may not take place for a week or even longer.
