Jan. 01, 1974 - John Wayne in verbal duel with Harvard Lampoon: John Wayne and Army Reservists of the 178th infantry Brigade in a 13-ton armoured carrier en route from the Harvard Lampoon offices in Cambridge, Mass. to Harvard Square Theatre. Wayne debated the brash Lampoon students after they'd challenged his film toughness - calling him the biggest fraud in history. Wayne commented that his reception was like being invited to lunch with the Borgias
