Dec. 12, 1967 - 400, 000 more refugees as a result of the june war in the Middle east: The Comissioner General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine says there are 400, 000 new Arab refugees as a result of the June War in the Middle East. Opening a debate in the General Assembly's special political committee Mr. Milhelmore the Commissioner General said many of the new refugees are living in tents and even more depentent on the respertive governments or on UNRWA, of other organizations for their food, blankets, and clothing, for medical care and the protection of their health and for schooling for their children. Photo shows a group of children, men and women of Arab Nuseirat Tribe near Jericho thrown out by the Israeli forces after their houses were demolished. Now they live on the Eastern side of the river Jordan
