Dec. 16, 1963 - Paris, France - American choreographer Balanchine came to Paris to stage four of his ballets, which he made famous with his New York Ballet Theatre. The four ballets being rehearsed at the Opera are based on Chabrier (Bourree Fantasque), Hindemith (The Four Temperaments), Mendelssohn (Scottish Symphony) and J.S. Bach (Concerto Barocco).
