Kaiser Wilhelm II in Doorn, Netherlands

May 30, 1961 - Anniversary of the death of Wilhelm II on June 4, 1961. Wilhelm II, the last German Kaiser and King of Prussia was born in Potsdam on January 27, 1859 as the oldest son of Friedrich III. He died on June 4, 1941 in exile, in Doorn in Holland. He was educated by Hinzpeter, attended college in Kassel, and studied in Bonn. On June 15, 1898 he ascended to the throne. After losing World War I he followed advice and fled to Holland.
