1970 - Karin I, Rheinhessen wine queen.. came to Munich on the occasion of the German Wine Week 1970 (April 29th to May 8th, 1970). Despite her extensive official programme, including receptions with the Bavarian Minister President and the Lord Mayor of Munich, and press conferences, she found the time to visit the large Olympic building site. There she especially inspected the future sports hall comprising 7000 seats and 4000 standing places and in which the competitions of the gymnasts and the final indoor hand-ball will take place.
