Karl Bohm, Austrian conductor, 75th birthday
Aug. 07, 1969 - On August 28 one of the contemporary time's most famous conductors, Karl Bohm, celebrates his 75th birthday. He was born in Graz. He became the leader of the Dresden opera in 1934 and then worked from 1942 to 1945 at the Vienna Opera. Today, he spends most of his time as a guest director in Salzburg and Bayreuth. He is also known as a Strauss specialist Pictured: One of the newest productions from Dr. Karl Bohm. It will premiere during this year's Salzburg festival
