Aug. 08, 1972 - Karlheinz Stockhausen in the English Garden in Munich In connection with the Olympic Cultural Programme in Munich, Stockhausen's Starsound Parkmusic for five groups was played in the English Garden in Munich. Five music groups, spread over the English Garden at distances of 80 to 100 meters, sang and played the piece Staroonstellations (e.g. Big Dipper). Stockhausen's composition which had its premiere in the Berlin Tiergarten last June, lasts three hours and, according to the Maestro, can only be performed at night. Keystone West Germany 31-8-72
