Mar. 22 King Chalid of Saudi Arabia Is Welcomed In West Germany With Studied Politeness King Chalid Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi-Arabia pays an official visit to West-Germany on invitation of Federal President Karl Carstens. During his stay King Chalid intends to have talks with Federal President Karl Carstens, Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt as well as the chairman of the political parties represented in the West-German Bundestag. The main subjects of the negotiations are the price mark up of the OPEC which Saudi-Arabia, the biggest oil-contractor of West-Germany, don;t keep pace with as well as the near East policy of West-Germany and the nearer co-operation with the states situated at the Arabian gulf. West-Germany welcomed King Chalid with studied politeness: The 67 years old monarch was greeted on the airport of Cologne/*Bonn with a volley of 21 shots.
