Jan. 01, 1953 - King Charles The Martyr Remembrance Service: The Rev. H.J. Sillitoe brother of Sir Percy Sillitoe head of the War Office's M.I.5. conducted the service outside the Whitehall Banqueting Hall (Now the United Services Museum) in remembrance of King Charles The Martyr - who was executed on Jan 30th. January 1649. Photo shows The Rev. Sillitoe places the memorial wreath on the bust - during the ceremony in Whitehall today
