Oct. 10, 1964 - Students Of Thailand Celebrate King Chulalonkorn Day: Thousands of University Students celebrated the King Chulalonkorn Day in Bangkok on Oct 23. The students walked in procession to the equestrian statue of the late King in front of then Royal Plaza. After the laying of a floral tribute on the statue the students knelt in homage. King Chulalonkorn gave Thailand modern education and brought prosperity to the country.
