King Frederick of Denmark with new portrait
Mar. 22, 1954 - King Frederik Admires His New Portrait. Life Size Study for the Rebuilt Kronprins Frederik'. Included in the art exhibition Den Frie being held in Copenhagen, is a fine life size portrait of H.M. King Frederik IX of Denmark. It is by the famous Danish artist Johannes Glob, and it is to be placed aboard the rebuilt Kronprins Frederik to replace the portrait which was lost when the liner was burned out in Harwich Harbor in April 1953.
