1959 - King Hussein flies in a Hawker Hunter two seater during his visit to Hawker's test airfield: King Hussein of Jordan today flew in a Hawker Hunter Two Seater operational advanced trainer aircraft from Hawker's test airfield at Dunsfold, Surrey. King Hussein, who is a qualified pilot, was accompanied on the flight by Mr. Frank Bullen, Hawker's Chief Production Test Pilot. The two seater Hunter is an ideal trainer to demonstrate transonic flight. Photo shows King Hussein seated in the cockpit of the Hawker Hunter Two Seater aircraft prior to the take off today
