King Ntare V Ndizeye of Burundi

Nov. 11, 1966 - 18 year old King ousted after three months of Power; Prime Minister Michael Micombero, of Burundi, announced last night the overthrown of 18 year old Mwame (King) Ntare V. by a military coup, and has declared a republic. In a radio broadcast the Prime Minister declared himself President of the new republic, and said the government had been dissolved. The young King dethroned his father, Mwambutsa IV, in a military coup in July and was crowned on September 1. Photo Shows King Ntare V - who has been ousted after three months of power
