Nov. 07, 1964 - 7.11.64 King Olav of Norway opens new common room at Balliol College It was a big day for the under-graduates at Balliol College, Oxford, when King Olav of Norway opened the new Junior Common Room today. It was rebuilt at a cost of £30, 000, two-thirds of which was contributed by Norwegian friends of the college, where King Olav was a student 39 years ago.
