King Paul of Greece and British Ambassador

Jan. 01, 1957 - King Paul And The British Ambassador To Greece Meet At Yacht Club Meeting: King Paul of Greece accompanied by Queen Frederica attended the Yachting races of the Greek Naval Club - and presented the trophies to the winners. Including in the guests was Sir Charles Peake - the British Ambassador in Athens - who was to be seen talking to the King in a very democratic attitude. This was their first meeting since the King's speech to parliament - in which he severely criticized the British Attitude to the Cyprus problem. Photo shows: King Paul and Sir Charles Peake - during the yacht Club meeting. The Ambassador holds a glass in one hand and has the other in his pockets
