December 16, 1969 - King Stilton in the West End. Reception at National Dairy Centre - King Stilton in the person of Peter Wilford, a member of the family who have made Stilton cheese in the Vale of Belvoir for generations and won many awards, arrived on horseback at the National Dairy Centre, London, to see a demonstration of the correct method of cutting and serving this famous cheese at a ceremony which also displayed the variety of other English cheeses.
