Feb. 02, 1960 - Lady Mountbatten is buried at sea as she had requested; With a simple but deeply moving ceremony, the body of Countess Mountbatten of Burma was taken out to sea aboard the frigate H.M.S. Wakeful form Portsmouth yesterday for burial, four miles of south of Nab Tower, off the Isle of Wight. Photo shows Earl Mountbatten casts his wreath into the sea after the burial service on board H.M.S. Wakeful yesterday. Also in the picture are Prince Philip, his mother Princess Andrew and the Mountbatten daughters, Lady Brabourne, and Lady Pamela Hicks
