Jul. 07, 1954 - Sir Gordon Richards injured by Queen's horse, will be out of racing for two months Sir Gordon Richards, 50-year-old champion jockey, who is in hospital at Byfleet, Surrey, after his mount Abergeldie, owned by the queen, threw and fell on him at Sandown on Saturday, was reported fairly comfortable last night. His surgeon, Mr. Edward Slesinger said it would be at least two months before Sir Gordon can contemplate riding again.
